How can his 82 be considered a good knock when we needed to score at 6.5 per over and he scored at 5?

Watson was a standout this year I agree. I have to admit I saw skeptical about him opening the batting but although he does need to turn more 50's into big hundreds he was the difference between a 3-1 or 5-0 hiding.Nospmashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06146029921851066783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691219939930045300.post-85930289537475066942011-02-08T11:57:44.249+11:002011-02-08T11:57:44.249+11:00Aus certainly don't seem to have lost much nou...Aus certainly don't seem to have lost much nous in ODI it appears. The plan for the world cup is fairly clear; bowl bloody fast with Tait, Lee and Johnson and then get off to a flyer with Haddin and Watson with pinch hitting from White and Clarke, Hussey to get ones and twos in the middle overs.

Watson has been so consistent it's ridiculous. The great part to his game that has provided Aus with a bonus is his medium pace. He just gets wickets continually with seemingly innocuous mediums but a bit of swing and cut on a good length is all you need.leftriteoutnoreply@blogger.com
